Happy Birthday!

Birthday cards are fun to make especially when they are for someone super special.  For my mom and sister, one loves chickens the other Kermit The Frog.  Kermit is from an svg file I found on the internet (happy birthday stamp is from Stampin Up).  The chickens paper is from Graphic 45.
The birthday box card is from www.svgcuts.com

Carnival Time!

My daughter's birthday was a success! Her friends had so much fun playing games we made up, and taking pictures with photo props.  Here's a center piece we made for the table from yup, you guessed it SVGcuts.  The ferris wheel moves, and holds candy.

Let's Play Pool

My niece plays in a pool league so for her birthday we made this cute gift card box with candies inside for her.  Again this is from SVGCuts, they have wonderful videos to walk you through the process of putting them together.  Making cards and seeing happy faces makes it all worth it. :)

Up, Up, and Away!

Another fun box card from SVG Cuts.  This one is my version of the hot air balloon. www.svgcuts.com

Carnival Birthday Invites!

My daughter's birthday this year is going to be carnival themed. She loves doing 3D birthday invites.  So we couldn't resist when SVG CUTS came out with their box card files.  So much fun to make, I can't wait till her friends see them.

Birthday Day Balloon Box Card

Here's another box card with birthday balloons! This one I made for a swap from Swap-bot.com. I had a blast making it. :)

Strawberry Basket Box Card

Svg Cuts came out with this wonderful box card file.  I couldn't wait to try them out.  Here is a strawberry card my daughter wanted for a friend's birthday.

I used an embossing folder on the strawberries to give them the 3D dots.

Summer Birthday

At our local scrapbook store Scraps Of Love they have a wonderful selection for us stampers.  I found these super cute pre-cut and ready to use images.  My mom loves cats so this card had her name written all over it.  These are put out by LORi Designs.

Ice Cream Cone Birthday Invites

My daughter recently turned 13, and she felt she was getting to old for the younger version of invites.  So we decided to make ice cream cone invites with candy/Mini Uno game inside.  Made a dozen total, we had so much fun picking out the paper to use on them.  Some were strawberry and chocolate mint. Yummmm....

Indoor Camping Birthday Party

With a little bit of imagination and some ol'fashion fun you can have a fun filled birthday at home.  We've done the pizza place parties ect... and the kids had fun but they didn't do activities that really got them to interact.  I remember as a kid making forts out of sheets and furniture.  And like mother like daughter, mine came up with the idea for a sleepover style.  So for my daughters 11th birthday we had an indoor camping party! Including the lake (above ground pool) Campfire (portable camping stove) and a tent (made from 5-6 queen size sheets and the entire living room).  The only thing different was we set it up so they would have the t.v. as there theater.

Cricut cut out of a tent and campfire.
We used the couches, and 5 queen sheets, and strong twine cords to hold up the camp. It was easy to clean up as well. :)

No camping party is complete without SMORES :)

Nancy Drew Birthday Party

My daughter LOVES Nancy Drew. So for her 12th birthday we set off to figure out how to decorate Nancy Drew style.  We started with Pinterest and there were some awesome ideas.  That is where we got this one.  She is one lucky little girl as her dad works for a wonderful printing company called Biltmore Proprint.  They were able to recreate a book style invite with great detail. All the way down to putting her face on the cover and volume 12 (for her age) and initials on the tree.  The girls were on the case they read the clues and it lead them to a pinata filled with goodies.  A fun time was had by all.

Front Cover

Each guest received a secret detective pen it had a stamp at one end, and leave top secret messages in invisible ink. We were able to get these from our local dollar store along with the mini composition books to write down clues in. We had a lot of fun making these. All the girls who received one were so excited to be on the case.

Oh, and to add to the party I used svg files and my Cricut to cut out Nancy Drew silhouettes along with question marks and magnifying glasses.
