I'm running late on Christmas cards this year. But surfing the web I found an easy cute card on Dawn's website. I changed mine a bit. I used the Stampin Up Owl Punch & eyes, snowflake stamp & brad, along with mitten ribbon. I also bought red glitter buttons (they sparkle and look like candy) for his nose. Happy Holidays to all! :)

Halloween Card Potions - Soot, Bleach, & Cricut cartridges OH MY!
Two new cards for Halloween. I'm really feeling the erie, tingly feeling you get when you know that special time of year is right around the corner. Who doesn't like a good ghost story or how the hair stands on the back of your neck when your out after dark during a full moon! Scary :) To add to the excitement I went with the feeling of Halloween from the past but with modern techniques.
Card Recipe - gold, blue metallic paper, sizzix machine for the dot look on the gold paper, bleach for the white star dots, Cricut cartridge Pumpkin Carving for the owl, and the moon is Martha Stewart Halloween sticker collection, and black beads for the owls eyes.

October - Halloween Swap
I recently joined Swap-Bot. They have every kind of swap you can imagine. Well I found a few that had to do with Halloween and I couldn't wait to jump in! Here is a recent creation that one of my fellow swapper's is going to receive. The idea actually came from an outside border of a sticker and turned into a spooky room with old wall paper peeling due to a fire. I stamped the tree on transparency paper, and red fiber handmade paper behind it for the spooky fire look with gold shimmer paper for a sunset feel. Then I used Martha Stewart clear sticker chair with her paper to match. And walla One spooky mansion - I dare you to ring the doorbell!
Thank You's Taking Flight
A recent fundraiser prompted me to make Thank You cards for the teacher volunteers that helped out. I could have bought some but what's the fun in that? LOL To make them extra sweet I added little chocolate nuggets. I found little library pouch style envelopes at the dollar store and used my new butterfly punch, n' stamps from Stampin Up. I had a hard time making the body and antenna's so I tied jewelry necklace string/twine which made it quick and easy. :)
If you look close you can see the white twine tied around once makes a cute 3D embelishment! |

Halloween Invite Ideas - Coffin Style
I found some photos of Halloween Invites I made a few years ago. I love doing 3-D and stepping out of the box of ordinary. The first one was for my Halloween party. It included black roses on the top tied with a ribbon. Inside - skeleton, moss, and the invite stamped with red wax to seal it. To see more Halloween ideas click on search my site, enter Halloween. :)
The one below was from my sister-in-law's Halloween wedding. She wanted a coffin theme with a touch of Day Of The Dead as well. So we made a coffin envelope with a Martha Stewart skull and cross bones punch on top. The invite had vellum over the top of a skeleton bride & groom. :)

Rubber Cement Resist Birthday Card
Today my 9 year old daughter asked if we could stamp, so we tried a new technique with rubber cement. We got the idea from Splitcoaststampers which I couldn't live without all the wonderful ideas they have there. Check out the wonderful link for the instructions. The blue background paper is our try at it. :)
